Festivities with involved Grade 6 students at Denise-Pelletier

On May 27th, we were on hand to provide a beautiful dessert table for the Grade 6 students of Denise-Pelletier School, as part of the 5th anniversary celebration of the "At the Heart of My Success" program. Nearly 300 cookies in 15 different varieties were prepared to recognize everyone's efforts over the program's five years. Student mentors and mentees from the past five years were also present.
This mentoring program between students and accompanying teachers and community professionals allows young people to advance in their learning and facilitates their transition from primary to secondary school.
The mentees, peer mentors, accompanying sponsors, community leaders, and parents worked hard, pooling their efforts and building relationships over 11 weeks. There were highs and lows, challenges overcome, skills developed, and memories created.
Many wonderful moments during these 11 weeks and this beautiful evening of celebrations! We are proud of the young people and their... fforts!
